Shiba Scout Rescue is less than a year in the making and as such we can always use the help of the community. Help can come in the form of paper towels, food, or foster homes. Every little bit helps and is greatly appreciated.
So you have fallen for the Shiba breed but aren't sure if they are right for you. Or you would like to have a dog but cannot keep one long term. By taking a Shiba Inu into your home as a Foster Parent, you provide socialization and care to the dog you take in, as well as provide additional room in the rescue to be able to take in even more Shibas. For every Foster Home we have that can take in one dog, that opens up one more spot in our main location to take in another dog that may have otherwised been euthanized.
If you are interested in fostering, contact us at shibascout@yahoo.com. We can send you a foster application and set up a time for a home visit.
Foster Parents will be provided with necessary food, collar, leash, and/or harness, and veterinary care for their Shiba Inu.
This is Ookami, which means "wolf", she came from a puppy mill in late January of 2008. Ookami is one of many of our dogs looking to become more socialized by going into a foster home.
